The Birth of the Absolute Universe
It all began when Darkseid forced The Spectre to merge with him, unleashing an unimaginable force of despair. When Darkseid finally fell, his essence—pure hopelessness—flooded Earth-Alpha, a blank page waiting to be rewritten in darkness.
From that moment, the new reality declared itself: this isn’t a normal superhero story.
This is the story of how Darkseid won.
Even Booster Gold, before his capture, tried to go back in time to warn the Justice League Unlimited — the war for the future was already lost.
How Did Darkseid Win the Future?
We don’t yet know exactly how Darkseid conquered the timeline or forged his evil Legion of Super-Villains, but Absolute Superman #3 gave us a chilling clue.
Superman comes across a mysterious Father Box—and it might be proof that Darkseid’s entire cosmic plan revolves around him.
Superman: The Heart of the DC Multiverse
In DC All In Special, Darkseid himself admits that the DC Multiverse runs on the energy of hope radiating from Superman.
We’ve always known the Man of Steel is the foundation of it all. In Doomsday Clock, we learned that even altering Superman’s timeline can reshape the entire universe.
Superman doesn’t just protect worlds—he defines them. His hope and morality are the DNA of the multiverse itself.
But Darkseid? He’s the eternal opposite—born to destroy what Superman builds.
Now he’s done losing.
Darkseid has forged a universe where he is the source of power: The Absolute Universe.
A World Powered by Despair
Unlike the prime universe that thrives on Superman’s hope, this one feeds on Darkseid’s despair.
Yet even here, heroes fight back. They rise against a tyrannical system, forming small rebellions that keep hope barely alive.
At the center stands Superman—broken but unyielding. Surrounded by endless darkness, he’s still pure, still fighting to save everyone. The world tries to corrupt him, twist him into a weapon of rage in the name of justice—but he refuses.
And that’s exactly where Darkseid’s real plan begins.
The Rise of the Dark Legion
We know Darkseid is assembling his Dark Legion, a distorted mirror of Superman’s legacy. The Father Box plays a role here—it’s subtly manipulating the Man of Steel, pulling him toward the edge.
This universe is dominated by a corrupt empire known as Lazarus Corporation. Superman leads a rebel group called the Omega Men, labeled as terrorists by the system.
When Metallo nearly kills him, the Omega Men use the Father Box to heal him. But these boxes are no ordinary tools—they draw power from the Anti-Life Equation, straight from Darkseid himself.
After recovery, Superman admits the box spoke to him. “Soul” warned him that it carries dark intent.
Darkseid is poisoning minds, making the rebels fight evil with more evil—erasing the line between justice and vengeance.
Even Superman starts to hesitate. In one mission, he nearly lets a guard die. The light within him is flickering.
When Superman Falls
Superman has always been the symbol that inspires the Legion of Super-Heroes in every future timeline.
But what happens if he falls?
If Superman becomes a symbol of wrath instead of hope, the Legion won’t see him as a hero—they’ll see a monster.
Superman doesn’t fight for one world.
He fights for all of them.
And now Darkseid wants to use that same power—the ultimate beacon of light—to fuel his empire of shadows.
Because if even Superman can’t resist the darkness… who can?

The Last Spark of Hope
Darkseid’s goal is twisted poetry: to use his greatest enemy to achieve ultimate victory. To make Superman the foundation of evil in every universe.
Superman’s humanity is the final spark of light in the Absolute Universe.
If that fades, the cosmos will drown in darkness.
He fights for everyone—unaware that he himself is the last symbol of hope.
Even in a world where Darkseid reigns supreme, hope still fights back.
Final Thoughts — Hope Never Dies
The Absolute Universe isn’t just another alternate timeline.
It’s the dark reflection of what happens when hope collapses and the god of evil finally wins.
But if there’s one thing DC fans know—it’s that Superman never stays down for long.
Because as long as one person believes in the light, Darkseid never truly wins.
